Questions
Which payment methods can my supporters use?
Cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link, and local methods like iDEAL, Bancontact, EPS, Revolut Pay and BLIK. Your supporters see the method they already use, not an unfamiliar form.
When does the money arrive?
Donations reach your QuietJar balance after a few days. Once your available balance reaches 50 EUR (or the local equivalent), pay it out to your bank account from your dashboard with one click.
Does the fee change with volume?
No. There are no tiers and no cap. Everyone pays the same 5%, from the first donation onward, with a €0.50 minimum on the small ones.
Why is there a €0.50 minimum?
Every donation costs us something to process, and on a €1 donation 5% does not cover it. The floor applies to donations up to €10, since 5% of €10 is exactly €0.50, and the percentage takes over above that.
Who pays the card fees?
We do. They come out of our 5%, not out of your balance. That is why a donation on a non-EU credit card leaves you exactly as much as the same donation on iDEAL.
Do my supporters need an account?
No. They pay on your page in a couple of taps, with nothing to sign up for.
What about refunds and chargebacks?
Refunds go through Stripe like any other payment. We are finalizing the exact policy before launch - get in touch if you need one sooner.
How is this different from a hosted donation page with a free tier?
